Typical fees and licensing for bespoke static artwork maps

We use specialist mapping software to create static artwork maps, then export them as normal artwork files tailored for your needs - e.g. PDF / JPEG / PNG / SVG etc. Most jobs of this type come in around £200 to £500+vat per map. Maproom's standard royalty free terms apply.

Typical fees and hosting for bespoke interactive online maps

Interactive online maps are not artwork files but dynamic viewports of data feeds. A typical one-off setup cost is £1,500 to £3,000+vat for programming and data formatting time, plus £250+vat annual pass for Maproom's Dynamic Mapping Suite. It is often possible for the client to embed this type of map on their own website if wanted. Ultra-high traffic over 50,000 map loads per month will generate an extra cost based on $5 per 1,000 loads. Once set up, the client can usually update their own data at any time without incurring extra fees, with their edits feeding immediately to the map.

Bespoke fees are usually invoiced 50% up-front; 50% on delivery.

We do not offer printing services, but we can create bespoke map artwork optimised for printing at a specific size. Knowing the print size in advance ensures legibility of labels on the map. If not an A format, please give width and height in mm, cm or metres as accurately as possible. The map will be supplied as an Illustrator PDF suitable for high-resolution professional printing.
