Do I need to install software to use these maps?
No. They can be viewed and edited within any modern browser, e.g. Chrome and Safari. (Not Internet Explorer.)
Can I download the dynamic maps?
No. They are not downloadable files.
Can I print the dynamic maps?
Yes, you may use low-resolution printouts for your organisation’s internal use.
Zoom in and out to frame your image in the browser then send to print or PDF.
Printouts from dynamic maps should be sharp at A4, but will go fuzzy if blown up bigger than screen output size. Dynamic online maps are not suitable for poster printing. If you want to make a poster, use one of our downloadable PDF map bases.
You must not use prints, PDFs or screenshots from the dynamic maps in any commercial printing. This includes merchandise and printed publications such as posters, books, journals, brochures and flyers.
Can I use screenshots on my own website?
No. All online maps systems including Google Maps, Mapbox, Bing Maps etc depend on metered, interactive usage and strictly limit the public use of screenshots. Our dynamic maps system uses Mapbox and therefore Mapbox’s usage rules apply. If you want a static map on your website then you need to edit one of our royalty free map bases, or commission a bespoke royalty free map.
Do I need a separate subscription for each map?
No. All the dynamic reference maps listed here are included in a single subscription. And you can create unlimited postcode area/district maps, and have multiple bespoke dynamic maps in a single subscription.
Do I need a separate subscription for each member of my team?
No. A single login for your organisation will give your whole team access to the dynamic maps for as long as the subscription is active. Our system offers exceptional value for teams. You can subscribe using a generic email address for login.
Is there a usage limit?
Yes. Our low subscription pricing is based on light to moderate usage. If you load the dynamic online maps and/or search more than 10,000 times in a month then we will contact you to discuss heavy usage options.
Can I have a dynamic interactive map on my own website?
Yes! The standard method is that we help you build your bespoke dynamic map on our servers, and you can then embed it on your website using an iframe (like a YouTube embed). Please ask us to quote for a bespoke dynamic map.
